I Have Big News

Big, I tell you.
Christmas was great, blah, blah, blah, whatever.
But, I finally saw Twilight.
The planets have aligned. The stars have merged, whatever.
I went with my mom and cousin with the awesome name.
We giggled at the appropriate times of utter cheesiness.
We left the theater to 6 inches of snow.
Wa-hoo.
There were actually 4 when we went in.
Wa-stinking-hoo.
I've had Edward dreams for two nights.
Weird ones.
Don't tell the husband.

The Best Snack Yet

Hurry and pause the music at the bottom!
Can this movie come out already?
I would click on this to see the whole screen. (Or apparently to see it at all without waiting half your lifetime, I just realized.)
Watch quick, because it won't be on the blog long--the ding-dang music starts automatically--even in post mode.
Sorry, I had to take it off--too many automatic musics to pause and I canNOT figure out how to make my playlist not start automatically (believe me, I tried--I couldn't find it!).

Oh the Stinkiness

I realize that lots of people think it's the ultimate of boring to hear about other people's kids' b.m.'s and diaper-changing schedules, but I have some random, puzzling thoughts:

Why is it that when my kids poop, I don't get right on it to change them?
My theory is I like my house to smell like you-know-what to keep it real. If I started to become a good mom, I'd frighten myself. Who is this strange, efficient person that has taken over my body? I hope she exercises regularly.

I wonder why it is that the stinkier they are, the longer I wait?
My theory on that one is that I'm hoping the nasty will get staler--stay with me--and eventually not smell so bad. So far, consistently, not to mention frequently, my theory has been proven wrong. Yet I persist in dreaming one day it will be proven right.

No more fruit.

Oh yeah, to bring back an old favorite, how come I don't change them until the diapers are so full they are hanging to the knees, or have soaked through so badly, their jammies and shorts are wet through and liquids-that-I-won't-identify-because-you've-already-guessed-it are running down their legs? I guess I love my using the Duets that sing clean laundry songs.

And the biggie, how is it that I have not potty-trained Mr Destructo when last week he saw his sister going potty and went in to the other bathroom, stripped, and went potty all. by. himself? And, (I've only tried this a couple of times) I just have to tell him to go to the bathroom and he does, the first time I ask. I'm seeing big savings in the diap-o department in the near future, assuming I can quit my addiction.

Yes, the answer to all these deep, mind-boggling queries: I'm blogging. Too. much. Overboard, I'm so addicted, too much.
I'm more on the absorbing than producing side--other than when we have a lot of fruit in the house--and I'm reduced to posting about dumb things and leaving out the important--like how Sawyer starting W-A-L-K-I-N-G last week, incidentally the same day Mr D went potty on his own. Plus I've been so busy reading about what everyone else has been doing this summer, we've done nothing since our family reunion in June (which I barely blogged about). I'm missing everything exciting. And talking about poop.
So, prepare yourself to hear about events that happened months ago and had pictures taken of specifically for the Shiner Circus, only to be shoved aside, like poopy diapers, while I caught up on Google Reader. That is, after I go on hiatus and do something really fun with my kids, who have spent almost the whole summer inside watching T.V. all day (so embarrassing) stinkin' up the house.

Don't forget: Breaking Dawn, that people will be reading until the break of dawn, coming in less than 24 hours. Though I don't know why I'm so filthy excited when I have to wait for someone to finish it and let me borrow their copy. Hint, people.

Another Tasty Bite

There's a new Twilight movie teaser.

This one had a different format, so I'm not sure how to post it but, here's the link to the preview.

I think you will enjoy it.

The best part is, if you leave the video on, it plays over and over without stopping. Someone please explain to me why we still have to wait 5 months.

Check out Stephenie Meyer's website to get quotes every day from Breaking Dawn. They're intriguing.

Now, I know this seems crazy, but I haven't ordered the book, and I'm not on a waiting list at the library. I'm waiting to borrow it from my friend after she reads it. She said she should let me read it first, since I read faster, but I think these books turn us all into salivating demon speed readers.

In other words, no one spoil it for me, since everyone, including Europe and the Middle East, will have read it before I get my hands on it.
